Throughout his career, Jeremy has held key leadership positions that showcase his ability to drive organizationalgrowth and community impact. As Executive Director at the Alliance for Community Transformations, he provided strategic direction and oversaw programs that fostered positive impact in areas like housing, youth advocacy, and access to basic needs. As Chief Executive Officer of United Way of Merced County, Jeremy focused on addressing critical social issues such as homelessness. He played a pivotal role as the collaborative applicant; securing significant housing grants and coordinating efforts among various stakeholders, directly contributing to improved services for the homeless population. His holistic approach ensured effective management of resources and maximized community impact.
Jeremy's commitment to community service is evident through his extensive volunteer work. He has served on theBoard of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County and the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, contributing his expertise to advance their missions. His civic engagement includes roles such as Parks, Arts, and Recreation Commissioner and Community Development Block Grant Committee Member for the City of Turlock, where he worked to improve community resources and advocate for residents' well-being. He also served as Vice-Chair and Commissioner on the Planning Commission for the City of Merced, influencing urban development and planning. Additionally, Jeremy was involved with the California Accountable Communities Health Initiative, chairing the Planning Committee to improve health outcomes through collaborative efforts.
Jeremy's contributions have been recognized with several awards, including being named a Merced Sun-Star 20 Under 40 Award recipient. Under his leadership, the Alliance for Community Transformations received both the Non-Profit of the Year award from California State Assemblywoman Marie Alvarado-Gil and Nonprofit of the Year award from the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in addition to United Way of Merced County receiving the Merced Sun-Star Nonprofit Business of the Year award in 2017 under his tenure.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Raised with a passion for public service, Jeremy pursued his academic journey at California State University Stanislaus, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2012. Recognizing the pivotal role of effective leadership in public administration, he advanced his education at the University of Southern California's Sol Price School of Public Policy.
There, he achieved a Master's degree in Public Administration with a focus on Public-Non-Profit Management and earned a County & City Management Certification. His academic pursuits culminated in receiving the prestigious 2017 John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes USC Sol Price Outstanding MPA Capstone Project/Thesis Award, underscoring his commitment to excellence and innovation in public policy
