Patricia Christensen
Currently, Trish Christensen serves as the President & CEO of the Greater Modesto Chamber of Commerce, a position she has held since December 2019. In this role, she has led the organization into a new era, driving its strength, relevance, and broad community impact. She originally joined the Chamber in March 2018 as the part-time Programs and Events Manager while running her own consulting business focused on supporting nonprofits with event development, fundraising, marketing, social media, and website content. Trish completed the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) three-year academy in August 2023 and earned the Accredited Chamber Executive (ACE) designation in February 2024.
Deeply involved in the community, she serves on the executive boards of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County, Stanislaus County Partners in Education, the Community Police Review Board, and several advisory committees. A long-time honorary member of the Kiwanis Club of North Modesto, Trish has volunteered for events like the Amgen Tour of California and SKUSA Kart races through the City’s Local Organizing Committee, served on school-based boards such as the Beyer Band Boosters, and raised funds for blood cancer research while completing over six half marathons as a power walker through Team in Training.
Supporting youth and strengthening the community have always been at the heart of Trish's personal and professional journey. Long before joining the Modesto Chamber of Commerce, she dedicated herself to volunteering in schools and youth programs, from helping children with reading and school projects to encouraging them in fundraisers, talent shows, and jog-a-thons. She's chaperoned field trips and even accompanied Modesto students to China as part of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Youth Orchestra.
Over the years, she's been a trusted adult that many young people turned to for encouragement and support. When the Boys and Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County was established, Trish immediately recognized its vital role as a safe, welcoming space where kids can find structure, enrichment, positive mentorship, and a sense of family. This organization embodies the kind of support she believes every young person deserves and is proud to champion its mission in our community.
