Denise Goodell

Denise Goodell is the Vice President and Branch Manager for Farmers and Merchants Bank of Central California. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business from Modesto Junior College and has dedicated 47 years to the financial services and banking industry. Throughout her career, Denise has focused on serving her community, building meaningful partnerships, and advocating for vulnerable populations. She currently leads a team of 15 talented individuals, guiding them with a passion for service and leadership.

Her commitment to community work and youth development is what inspired her to join the Board. Denise is especially passionate about empowering young people—encouraging their active participation in society, supporting their personal and social development, and helping them gain financial literacy and set achievable goals. She feels fortunate to work for an employer that shares and supports this mission.

Denise has been a Modesto resident since 1986 and takes pride in watching the community grow and evolve. She is a proud mother of two adult children and a grandmother to two young grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, gardening, cooking, crafting, and entertaining. Traveling is one of her favorite ways to learn about different cultures, especially how others live, celebrate, and navigate challenges. Most of all, she treasures time spent walking, talking, and laughing with her family and friends.
